Production Arts

Theatre Technology

Design for Theatre & Film

Level 3 Diploma & Extended

These exciting and immersive courses are designed to explore and develop a range of creative, modern Production Arts skills, for those wishing to transform their passion for theatre or film into a professional career.

Students on both pathways learn Production Arts across a range of practical, professional contexts and are taught by our dedicated team of tutors who have extensive industry experience. Theatre Technology includes lighting design and operation, sound design and operation, stage management and audio-visual projection within Northbrook MET’s high-tech professionally equipped 160 seat theatre and large studio space.

Design for Theatre and Film students experiment with set design and construction, costume design and styling, props creation and hair and make-up within our amazing scene dock (with full scenic paint frame) and dedicated extensive 3D and design workshops.

Our students collaborate with the local Worthing Theatres to create large scale props for their pantomimes and can undertake extensive work experience opportunities. The students have been working creatively and independently since lockdown on a wide range of projects. We are enormously proud of the stunning quality of their work and their commitment
to high production values and collaborative practise.

Here are examples of the students work from the courses across a wide variety of projects.
(We would like to thank Extended Diploma Technical Theatre student Cameron Meechan for his tireless energy and very cool video skills for creating these videos on behalf of the courses)

Well done Class of 2020- may the light shine on!
