Music Technology & DJ Production

Level 3 Diploma

These exciting and immersive courses are designed to explore and develop a range of creative, modern music production and DJ performance skills, for those wishing to transform their passion for music into a professional career.

Students on both pathways learn music production across a range of practical, professional contexts, including computer-based composition and production, and sound design for music and media using Logic Pro X, Ableton Live and Native Instruments software within Northbrook MET’s high-tech studios and Mac labs.

Music Technology students learn and practise in-depth recording and mixing techniques using industry-standard equipment including Neumann, AKG, Aston and Sennheiser microphones and Audient, TLA and Tascam mixing consoles in our professionally designed recording studios.

DJ students use professional Pioneer CDJs and mixers, Technics turntables and Serato software to perfect their performance techniques and learn how to live-stream to social media from our custom-built DJ booth.

All our students have been working remotely to produce some amazing original tracks across a range of contexts and genres, demonstrating high levels of independence, creativity and motivation; we hope you enjoy their music and sound design projects.
